Project Description:

The project involves approximately 81,000 square feet of a new community
building design within the heart of downtown Newark.

The project was part of a community design lecture with Theological Students that involved a program for 3,000 students including the development of a Business and Professional Training Center. The goal of the design was to create a space that brings people together from 13 public high schools in Newark to engage in career seminars, internship career fairs, literacy program for non-English speaking students, computer workshops, public health awareness, business development and volunteerism development. Ultimately, the intent was to address urban ministry as a reshaping tool for urban redevelopment, bring the church and community together.
